We have three forms of tech professional development in East Grand Rapids. We are integrating technology into our staff meetings and will have many devoted solely to tech at each building. At these meetings we'll have topic choices for staff members and online handouts that you can refer back to later. In addition we'll make sure you have work time on a given topic so you can apply what you have learned right away while you have a support person present to answer your questions.
A second type of formal tech training we have each year is a broad range of choices at our February Professional Development Days. Many will be the same as the choices from our staff meetings, but we'll have new topics too that just could not be worked in after school. These are similar in format to what we offer at staff meetings, but the structure of the Pro Dev Days allows many more topics and greater time for application when we're through.
Finally, we offer professional development when and how you need it. No matter if it's in a team meeting, Grade Group meeting, or on your prep hour-our staff is willing to work with you on a needed topic in tech.
